Mole removal is done by Plexr Plasma Fibroblast pen or Laser

Because of the excellent properties of Plexr Plasma Fibroblast pen, most moles are treated by Plexr Plasma Fibroblast pen at Bellatudo Skin and Wellness Center. Plexr pen removes the mole (unwanted skin) with minimal thermal damage to the surrounding tissue. Therefore, the risk of scar from the mole removal by Plexr is far less than by the traditional Hyprecator (electrical razor) and healing is much faster.

The risk of post procedural hyperpigmentation by Plexr is much less, none to minimal. Plexr pen is safe for the eye and is used to remove benign moles around the eyes and even on the conjunctiva.

Laser mole removal is done when Plexr Plasma Fibroblast pen cannot be used: for example, a young child who cannot handle numbing solution injection for a mole removal.

How to distinguish benign mole from precancerous or cancerous mole?

This in general takes years of experience of the examiner of the mole. This should be done in person rather than by looking at photos of the moles. A simple rule that many clinicians have practiced is the rule of ABCDEF.

Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Color more than one, Diameter more than 6 mm(size of a pencil eraser), Evolving(changing appearance), Funky looking.

If the mole looks not benign, the skin mole needs to be biopsied first. If the mole looks benign, it can be removed cosmetically by laser, hyprecator, or surgically.

How is the method of removal of benign moles determined?

Laser is a relatively painless and scar less effective way as long as the mole is not rooted into the deeper layer of the skin and the surrounding skin does not have too much pigmentation.

Also if the client is pregnant, breast feeding, or a minor, laser is generally not recommended at Bellatudo Skin Care by our doctor.

Very large moles require surgical removal with suturing. This can sometimes leave unwanted scarring, and the goal of the provider is to remove the mole with the least amount of scarring always.

Benign mole removal by laser can be painless and scarless.

Large mole removal left no scar, done by Plexr Plasma.

This large facial mole can be removed surgically at once or with Plexr Plasma pen in multiple sessions with far less scar.
